The TP-LINK software just says "Please plug in a wireless network adapter. Found 5 files for Windows 8.1, Windows 8.1 64-bit, Windows 8, Windows 8 64-bit, Windows 7, Windows 7 64-bit, Windows Vista, Windows Vista 64-bit, Windows XP, Windows XP 64-bit, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 64-bit. for win8.1 and tried to force an install on them, that changed the name to "TP-LINK something" for a few seconds and then reverted back to the former, the driver it wants to use is from 2006 and the one i tried to force an install of is from 2014.Īlso, the most funny thing is that the software that came with the card does not recognise it at all, but windows does since i can use it, but at a limited speed. The drivers for the card do not seem to be working, if i check it under devices i get "Qualcomm Atheros AR938x Wireless Network Adapter" and not any TP-LINK. The bandwidth i have available can reach up to 250mbit and does so on other devices. Win10 itself can find the card and use it for wifi, but the maximum speed i can get is 144mbit/s, and it only reaches maximum 60mbit if i use a speedtest service online. However, the drivers do not seem to work on win10. If you can help me out in anyway at all I will be extremely grateful.I have recently bought a TL-WDN4800 PCI Express Adapter for my stationary PC. I now have no idea what there is left for me to try I have done so much and put in so much time I?m starting to lose my mind. I even tried putting the drives for the USB 3.0, USB 3.1, and SATA on the USB so go with the installation (got the drives off the msi website).I used a different USB and also tried using msi?s own windows 7 tool which after running for 3-4 hours was still stuck on ?setting 1? so I gave up with that.I tried formatting the ssd and that did nothing.I have tried every port available and it is defiantly in USB 2.0 ports now and still not working.Mess with the BIOS settings where I have the right boot order it recognises all my setting Windows 7 installation enabled fast boots disabled XHCI hand-off disabled and legacy USB support set to auto. Now here is everything I have done to try and solve this: But each time I run the installation I get ?A required CD/DVD driver is missing". I am doing this from the iso sent to me and I used Microsoft?s tool to put it on the USB. Now I am trying to install windows 7 64bit on my pc from a USB and then I am going to upgrade to windows 10.
